Sunday Morning

It's Sunday morning... have you all made it to church yet??? I trust and pray the answer to that is YES!

Just a quick update on some non-Michelle related prayer requests I posted yesterday! First, my dad's surgery went great and when I called yesterday morning to check on him he was out in the backyard giving instructions to my mom on the gardening! The only pain he was feeling was at the incision site itself, no other pain to speak of and he had not even taken any of his pain meds. I made sure to tell him that there were many praying for him and his lack of pain was a direct result of that!! AMEN!!! Second, our friends Walter and Tina had their son, Anthony Daniel (I think that's what they named him if my memory serves me... guys are so bad with those types of things!!!), and everyone is doing just fine. Anthony was 7lbs. 15oz. and 21 inches long, again if I am remembering correctly. Praise the Lord for His miracle of new life!!! Other than that, things are moving along fine at the Venable home. No word yet on the condo, are you all praying??? Michelle had a good day yesterday, we were even able to go for a couple of mile walk to, around, and back from the park near our home (it's a BIG park!).

We are praying for you all and your church services today... may the Lord bless and speak directly to your hearts! The message we heard was on, are you ready for this, suffering! It was a GREAT message taught by one of the assistant pastors, Jeff Donaldson, who himself has had to endure surgery on his brain due to a tumor (Pastor James is in Romania). The text Jeff used as his "launching and foundation" point is below. Be encouraged today... Jesus love you so much, and so do we! - Steve and Michelle -

"For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;..." (1 Peter 2:21-23; NASU)
